Darebin Bicycle User Group is one of Melbourne's
largest and most active cycling groups.
Achievements
Darebin BUG is proud to have had a role in the following
improvements to the local cycling network:
- realignment of pathway on St Georges Rd (Northcote/Thornbury/Preston)
- commencement of northern extension of St Georges Rd pathway (Preston)
- installation of bicycle parking at AMES (Preston), Cedars Bakery
(Preston), SPAN Community House (Preston) and Officeworks (Preston)
- completion of work on bicycle lanes in Dundas St (Preston)
- completion of northern extension of Darebin Trail from Rathcown
Rd to Gronn St (Reservoir)
- commencement of work on bicycle lanes in Cramer St and Gower
St (Preston)
- commencement of major works (including land acquisition and bridge
under Darebin Rd) to address the missing link in the Darebin Trail
near Darebin Rd (Northcote)

- plans for bicycle lanes in Hughes Parade and Botha Avenue (Reservoir)
